Hello baby

I flushed this young robin out of the peony bush when I was mowing grass this afternoon.  Then later when I got to another section of the lawn, he came hopping out along the edge of the pasture.  Finally, he flew himself up to a low branch of a tree and got himself out of my way. I think he looks a little indignant.

It was another hot one.  We had a good rainstorm in the morning but the sun was so hot the rest of the day that the grass was dry enough to mow.  Tomorrow temperatures are supposed to go back to normal for this time of year, but you won't hear me complain about the heat!
