Great Egret

There was already lots of bird activity in the lagoon formed by the natural damming of the river when I spotted this one in the midst of all the others. I had never seen one like this on our morning beach walks. I suspect he will hang around for a few days since the lagoon is full of little smelts that are easy to catch.
