Three Young Ladies

Every year thousand of young people swarm out of the schools to seek work and most of them do not get anything to do. Large and small towns like us here in Seltjarnarnes give them work like this. Cleaning after the winter, cutting grass and planting flowers like these three young and lovely ladies are doing. I asked if I could take a picture and use for a blip. "Of course" they said and posed for me - as they were already on their pause. Young people are still courteous and do as their elder ask.

This also awakens a nostalgic string in me. I was 17 when I met my wife to be and in the beginning of that summer I worked like this - in the sun, getting all sunburned and red like an American Indian. My wife lived with her aunt in Reykjavik and worked in a family firework factory in a nearby town. My Mother-in-law to be was visiting from their farm and my wife wanted to introduce us.
Later when I asked my wife about this, me being all red the first time her mother laid eyes on me she said that her mother had said: "At least he is working."
