Nuts in July

Certainly these "nuts in  May" (from the well known children's rhyme) were never gathered  but groundnuts  which used to be foraged to eat by children who dug them up out of the ground.  These Hazel nuts will disappear shortly before they are ripe taken by birds and squirrels and other small rodents for winter storage.  

R and E picked drove me to L S's 70th while N stayed at home.  An enjoyable evening.
