Second Blue Moon

Just as a blue moon is uncommon - two full moons in the same calendar month - so is my blipping on essentially the same topic two days in a row.

But having caught  2015's blue moon rising last night I was up early enough to catch it still shining in an almost cloudless sky at dawn this morning , with the lights of the little hilltop village of Comares still twinkling in the west.

I was up early , of course , to catch a plane back to Glasgow where , within half an hour of arriving, I was soaked to the skin - a much less rare occurrence at least this summer.
