West to East

Heading home, via much rain, coast to coast, via Ullapool for a new bunch of books I'll take forever to read. We've swapped Tess' west coast fleecy pals for two stressed furballs newly released from cat prison. We no sooner let fergus out of the cat carrier when we parked up at home and he ran straight over to Jessie, our neighbours elderly dog, to reacquaint with each other nose to nose through the gate. Best pals, makes us laugh, but only when bounding collie Boss dog isn't there, Fergus keeps a wide berth then. But he doesn't always get it right, no sooner was he home for a few hours when we got a phone call tonight from the other neighbours to come rescue Fergus from a blood and fur raising fight with another Tom cat. I think he might have just managed to escape for round two......
