A very proud cat!
A and I visited Hinton St George this afternoon and treated ourselves to scones and jam and a pot of tea at Dorothy's Tearoom. This is under new ownership and we wanted to sample what they had to offer. The two local vicars and an excentric old lady also had the same idea.
Hinton is a pretty postcard village with warm Ham stone houses and colourful gardens. There is also an ancient interesting church full of Poulett memorials (the local medieval landowners and aristocratic family). We also bumped into J who had been working in the community shop.
The cat was sitting in a back garden on a wall surveying his territory and enjoying the sunshine.
The extra photo is of a corner in Hinton St George. The house in the background is very long and thatched.
I have now just about caught up and apologise for my absence, but during the last month or so my mind has been on other things and getting back to a routine is not always easy! I do appreciate your interest and kind comments and will endeavour to mend my ways!
