Rainbow...

... through the car window. We reluctantly travelled home today. We took up wet ground sheets and mats from the awning last night and left them in the Site drying room overnight.  The plan was that in the morning  we would move to another pitch which wasn't going to flood. However, it poured down while we were taking the awning down and we got soaked again, and we just couldn't face moving the 'van and putting the wet awning back up in the rain, so we decided to leave.   Our 'van is only a 2 berth and just isn't big enough without an awning, as that is the "dumping" ground for wet coats, shoes etc.   The Warden of the Site was saying they have had non-stop rain for some weeks now.

We had a good journey back hitting good weather as we reached Stirling.
It looks like there hasn't been any rain here while we have been away.

There's always another time, we can be into Scotland at Carter Bar in an hour and a half from our house.
