Awaiting the Parade
We drove to Newburyport today, to hang my exhibition on Birds of the Massachusetts Coast at the Parker River NWR Visitor Center. We started later than we should have, encountered a good deal of slow traffic. and barely finished the hang before the center closed. It was arduous getting things up; they have a unique hanging system which took a lot of getting used to.
Thus I was exhausted afterwards, and took my only possible blips as we were driving back along Newburyport's main street to the highway to get to our hotel. I shot through the car window (the passenger side), waiting at a stop light. We saw many chairs set out like this along the street, doubtless in preparation for a parade (presumably tomorrow Sunday), and this gives a glimpse of one of the town's many elegant houses.
