Summer kye

The second day of August, and it appears to be the second day of summer.  Got a bit carried away taking pictures in the sunshine, so have a couple of extras today.

The kye are sitting down here, but not because they are expecting rain - the unaccustomed heat is making them tired.

A pretty relaxed day.  I am going to the library reading group on Wednesday, and need to finish "The Valley of Amazement" by Amy Tan before then, so I sat in the garden for about an hour reading.  Only another 500 pages to go!
