The Only Managed Swan Sanctuary in UK

We went to Abbotsbury swannery this morning...it was lovely to see so many swans in one place. It is the only managed swan sanctuary in the UK and there are approx 150 breeding pairs, many of them had cygnets but they were quite mature at this time of year.

We also went to the Abbotsbury SubTropical Gardens and our visit was accompanied by the tunes of a brass band from Dorchester. We finished off with some evening sunshine at Chesil Beach making Stone Sculptures.
