eye of the tiger

for christmas 2013 i bought tony a virgin experience voucher to feed meerkats at flamingo land, for various reasons we never got round to booking it and as it ran out tomorrow we rang about 6 weeks ago and today was the only date they had free - luckily ! 

we got there just before lunch time (it was booked for 2 pm) and orion went on a couple of rides and we ate lunch, they looked round the zoo before tony had the experience, 2 children were also in with him and the keeper placed mealworms (live ones !) on them and the meerkats crawled on them to eat them, they also got a talk about meerkats etc too

afterwards we went round the rest of the zoo and then orion and i went on some rides (tony isn't allowed to due to his current medical condition) i was surprised that he wanted to do the scary rides and he did really well

i took lots of photos throughout the day and found it hard to choose what to blip today but decided on this one of 2 of the sumatran tigers as it was my favourite of the day
