Black and White and Farewell
After breakfast, Angie and Alina set off for a ride with Luna (celebrating her 3rd birthday) and even Flash joined them. Shortly afterwards the rest of us jumped into cars and followed them around the countryside and picking up Flash. At one point had to force Luna into the car to cool off a bit - she was clearly feeling the rides yesterday but being a BC is incapable of taking things a bit more relaxed.
Steffi took lots of great photos and I have just stolen one for the extra photo - Alina in seventh heaven. Everyone had fun and even Matteo had a short ride on Sultan.
Then a quick lunch BBQ before they had to set off for the next destination of their southern Germany tour. It was a lovely 24 hours, the children were superb with the animals and even though Luna was totally whacked by the time they left, I'm sure she was as happy as we were that they had been here for her birthday.
Having children about was a nice warm-up for the grandchildren's visit in the near future. Can't wait.
News today about the death of Cilla Black (born White) - Not an artist in my LP collection and I wouldn't have wanted to see one of her shows live but certainly a number of tunes one can sing-a-long to when they are rolled out on the oldies radio stations. However a wonderfully natural, charming, happy Liverpool lass who stayed loyal to her roots and brought a smile to many for many years. Our world would be a better place for lots more Cillas. Ta-ra and RIP.
