The Henderson Clan
1. We are staying in a rather gorgeous B&B called Grove Lodge. The breakfast is pleasant and the sun is shining.
2. A walk uphill to join the family where it's not long before the cars arrive to take the journey to the crematorium. On the way my thoughts are filled with the last time I travelled in a funeral car. Oddly it's all pleasant memories; the people who were gathered, the things that were said. A very special journey.
3. The view from the window is stunning; hills rolling as far as the eyes can see. The music is the Corries and Paul speaks so very bravely and beautifully and Uncle Thomas fills the room, laughs and smiles through everyone's tears.
4. The sun still shines as we move to the Boathouse for blethers on the lawn and lunch.
5. Much later we meet again for drinks, food, photos and memories. Rest easy snake hips.
