Red, white and blue!

Patriotic? Well it certainly looks like it. These items are part of a collection of stuff that our Aussie grandchildren might want to add to their travel journals (well Jazzie/ Jasmin might). It's not everybody who has a biscuit named after them and after all `it's not just any biscuit'!

I've been to the studio today and actually made a start on a lino-cut of the two Lewis chessmen (Beserkers) that we usually have on display. It feels like quite an achievement! I still feel as though I'm playing with lino-cuts. I really enjoy doing it and find it quite relaxing and easy to switch off, but I've lots to learn.

We're now sitting in front of a fire and it feels wonderful. And ... we actually saw some sun this morning but it seems we're in for a weekend of more foul weather. There appears to be more hope for the middle of next week. I do so hope it improves before our Aussie family arrives a week tomorrow. It's been warmer in winter Sydney than here (and I understand it hasn't been too good there!)
