When running twenty kilometers in two hours and thirty-five minutes in thirty-six degrees heat, you need a good pair of minimalist running shoes, a quick-dry shirt, sunglasses, plenty of sports drink and lubricant for those ...... awkward places. Ouch!

What also helps is a goal. My short term goal was a very cold bath - aaah, bliss! - and my long term goal is the Western Sates 100, which I hope to run when I am fifty years old. This reminder was on my facebook feed this morning. From Squaw To Auburn. Inspirational!
