The most charming of weddings

This is Simone and Brian, a lovely young couple, whose union I had the privilege of photographing today, in an unusual ceremony with only the couple in attendance and the bride officiating the wedding :)

Without a doubt, this is one of the most authentic exchange of vows I've attended and one of the most genuine couples I've met, down to the bright blue converse sneakers she wore with her dress. 

There were many cute moments through the few hours I spent with them, but a few struck me as signs of their time:
- after a few moments struggling in vain to attach the boutonniere, they turned to Google, found a video, et voilà! Done.
- we hopped in an Uber X to make our way to the monument where they wanted to exchange vows. The very nice driver was thrilled to have participated in that event :)
- as they got ready for the vows, they both pulled out their iPhones and read the beautiful text they had composed for each other, Brian just slightly holding back a tear as he started.
- they laid out a blanket and opened the picnic basket full of goodies they'd gone shopping for together earlier in the day, under the surprised and happy gaze of passing tourists.

My last image of them as I walked away, was of them standing in the setting sun, taking a selfie using one of those dreaded selfie sticks!
