Promises Kept!

Hello Blipfriends!  
Dolly reporting today!  

Saturday - is that not supposed to be part of the WEEKEND??  As in - work is DONE and we get to relax and rest??  

Well, in the land of builders, it seems they have different rules. This is the second weekend in a row that we have had someone here.  Oh well, mum says not to sweat it - they've given us some 'days off' on other days which we have enjoyed.

Today the wall units were all put up.  See the extra photo.  There are no handles yet.  Next week the worktop will be installed and then the electrician will come back and install the appliances and finish all the sockets and switches.  Eventually the sink and plumbing will be done.  Mum says that MAYBE by the end of the week we will have a working kitchen!

In the meantime she promised me CHICKEN and CHIPS tonight!  We stopped at Waitrose after an afternoon walk and guess what?  She got the LAST rotisserie chicken!  Whew!  With a quick stop at the chip shop and a few additional things from home - coleslaw and corn on the cob - we had a DELICIOUS meal sitting in the garden!  Yes, I'm loving our menu!  I had quite a bit of chicken and just a couple of very small chips as an extra treat!  Mum is using paper plates and plastic glasses as all her normal stuff is packed away!  

Life is GOOD!
