Rain or Shine, I LOVE MY GARDEN

I have never been much of a gardener or even had anything close to what you can call a green thumb... not to mention the time! But for some reason I find our garden absolutely beautiful this year!
I find myself looking forward to visiting the beautiful lavender plans, poppies and rose bushes my husband offered me as gifts last year (my most favorite gift ever)! I happily pluck and prune and snip and groom ... something I would NEVER have imaged myself doing in the past!
What is going on?
Age? Maturity? Wisdom *my personal favorite explanation for my strange behavior ; ) ?
What ever it is- I am thoroughly enjoying!
