Ants in my .......

I returned home at the end of the day to find ants scurrying everywhere.
Yes - it is flying ant week. It started yesterday, signified by the birds behaving differently. Sparrows trying to be flycatchers or hummingbirds in mid air (and failing), swifts diving low, house martins having a great time, and the gulls flying in circles trying to catch the ants as they float up into the open sky.
And holes between the brick pavers and in the soil everywhere. It will all quieten down soon.
I haven't got a lens that can capture an ant, and they are camera shy - as soon as I point, they are off ! So this evidence will have to do.
