Summer at last
A beautiful day which started with Porridge, fruit Scrambled egg and Salmon from the Spey. Drove over the Lecht and for you that know that route you have to take a photo of Corgarff Castle. A great white castle tucked into the hill side.
We had nt realised before that you could walk to it and go inside if you wanted to pay so this time we parked in the carpark and walked up the path that was surrounded by wildflowers including Harebells. The tractor was busy cutting the hay and we were lucky to see it as it soon went away for lunch.
We stopped at a Photography exhibition of mainly black and white photos of Scotland by Gerard Murphy.
We looked, hopefully, for Salmon at the falls of Feugh, no sightings and I did think of Blipper A New Day as we stood there and looked and wondered if she might be standing next to me !
Ended up in Arbroath in a super Boutique B and B. Had fish and chips at the harbour where we sat in the car as the rain had started by now. The seagulls were hoping for a bite and sat on the roof and the bonnet and even stayed there when we drove off before eventually giving up and flying away.
