Golden haired girl on the decking..

..A very windy start to the day, with a heavy shower early on, and then around 2'o'clock, the skies blackened, it went dark, and cold, and the wind stopped. It looked like we were in for a torrential downpour..

But it never came, just a few spots, enough to raise the humidity, and encourage the midges out, and they came out in force..

Oh, and this is the mussel boat, making a fresh delivery..

We were halfway down the croft, harvesting cabbage and calabrese, and broccoli, and kale, and kohl rabi.. Got back to the shed just in time, and weighed up what we'd cut. And then to the greenhouse, and poly-tunnel to harvest salads, and flowers.. The midges were especially ferocious around the Borage plants..

A quick cuppa, and then drove down to the bottom of the croft for more salads, spinach, chard, coriander, and parsley.. I had to weed the parsley to avoid cross contamination with weeds, four rows of it!

Back home and weighed up, and invoice created, and then down to deliver.. You can't get fresher than that.. G went off to Lochinver for her pilates class, and she left me and Tanni in the pub.. So what's a man to do? Only had three pints!!

The Gala committee have been dismantling the aftermath of the Gala day. I've not been able to help today, but they've left the Marquee frames up, so I'll have a go at dismantling them tomorrow..
