HUMMINGBIRDS
Today was a day for hummingbirds. I stationed myself near their feeder, determined to get a shot of the tiny, elusive bird. The female came three or four times, and this was the only in-flight shot I managed to get. I was beyond excited when a male Ruby-throated hummer came along. He stopped at the feeder for only one hot second, then flew away, never to return again. It was a day of constantly interchanging clouds and sunshine, so of course my light setting was all wrong for the moment when Mr. Ruby came along. (The shot was super dark and has been doctored as much as possible to lighten it. He appears in Extras just because I was so happy to get any image of him.) I’ll try again….
