Tiny Kowhai Flowers . . .
for Tiny Tuesday. Last week I noticed these flowers on a little Kowhai shrub in the school garden. It is a compact dwarf form that is used as a groundcover. It flowers in late winter well before the other species of Kowhai. I snipped them off this morning and now they are brightening up my desk. Not feeling the brightest today and I hope it is just a cold and doesn't develop into anything else. A lot of the children are coughing and spluttering everywhere.
