Damsel Fly

We've been strolling along the canal again this morning, and sure enough as I'd hoped, again there were lots of Damsel Flies to be seen;  you are able to spot solitary ones here and there but then you come across places where there are dozens of them darting about.  They seem to sparkle in the sunlight, they're such strange and beautiful creatures.

We got the best of the weather this morning  -  now it's raining again, and it's very heavy and oppressive;  we're out this evening with friends which is always nice  - and no cooking to boot.
