Last Day
It was the last day for Gary and Maggie in London. We started off at St Paul's. Maggie stayed for the Mass while we walked across Blackfriars bridge to the south side. Saw some great entertainment and walked back across the millennium bridge, back to Maggie. She so enjoyed the mass service and to be in St Paul's was magical for her.
Once we had had a coffee we went back over the millennium bridge to the Globe Theatre. Had a very interesting tour around the globe exhibition. I didn't realise Christopher Wrens house was right next door and opposite St. Paul's. Cute house too.
We then went for dinner at the oldest pub on the Thames. The Prospect of Whitby. Our American friends wanted fish and chips. They don't do fish and chips in Billings anything like ours. i also ordered them a Yorkshire pudding and gravy as they didn't know what it was. They seemed to like that too. It's a great pub. Very interesting. It has a hangmans noose hanging at the back over the river.
Then it was time to head home. We had to come home before taking them to heathrow as they had left a case at ours.
Off to heathrow, said our goodbyes and they were gone. They loved England and I'm sure they will be back.
