Chicken run
Today's errand was to collect chickens from Glynis the dairy manager for the Ross's - or at least she is until the end of the week as she's leaving, apparently no bad thing, but that seems to be another story. She has quite a reputation.
Glynis does a sideline of chickens and eggs - funnily enough. Or at least Isobel, her maid does as I've never even met Glynis so maybe our chickens and egg supply will survive her leaving.
We had 5 chickens on order ($38.50 if you're interested), which I dually collected. Isobel was keen to tell me that she was also mid way through slaughtering a new batch, which was a good reminder to wash my hands when I got home after she gave me my change, especially as she was quick to get back to plucking her latest victim as I left.
Picture is of the farm gate to the 'main' road as I was on my way out.
