Waiting For The Big One

Unfortunately I didn't have much time to wait for a bigger wave to crash over the rocks ...
As I was taking this shot, my mobile phone was ringing ... I answered the call, but due to the wind I found it impossible to speak to the caller ... So I ran back to the shelter of my van ...
The call itself was not actually urgent, but whilst I was talking to the person on the other end, several much larger waves made a far more awesome display ... ("sods law", I think it's called) ... :o|

Just to put your minds at rest, however, the woman watching the waves in this shot was perfectly safe, as the waves were not actually reaching her and in fact were cascading away to her right ... I'm glad to say ... :o)
