A day working from home while M was at a meeting. 7.30am til 6 in front of the computer is almost enough to make me appreciate the dog. At least when he needs a walk you've got to get up and go out. Otherwise I'd have sat there all day. But the worst of the work is done so it's worth it.

Two of the mutt's balls (narf) ended up in the drink. That'll teach me to use a stick as a bat to thump it as far as possible. Still, he was keen to get it back so after a bit of hesitation he got in a swam for them. The first he rescued one, he managed drop it on a little slope near the harbour edge and it rolled straight back in. Idiot.
