Sunny beach, snowy mountains.

Our mini break had to end today, but the decision was made to use the day and travel back late. It proved to be a good decision with the sun also deciding to join us again.

There hasn't been much opportunity to get to the beach this year so it seemed the best place to spend the day and provided an opportunity for the hounds to run loose with a bit of stick and stone retrieval thrown in.

I love the beach in winter and the snowy backdrop of Snowdonia coupled with the bright blue sky made for a fantastic setting. With wellies on, it gave the boys a chance for some sandy fun before the year draws to close. There is something special about sitting back and just watching them absorbed in play, but most importantly it gives me time to realise what is important in life.
