Skjolden

Our next destination - Skjolden - another beautiful spot, The village of Skjolden is tiny so we decided to book a day tour - which was fantastic. We went right into the mountains and first visited one of the ancient stave churches. These are medieval Christian churches made purely of wood, not using any nails or screws mostly built in the 1500s. It was as beautiful inside as out.
Then had a delicious salmon lunch - Norwegian specialty, then drove further into the mountains with various stops for photos. What a great day,
