Village

Went to pay my contribution to the village community council today.
Voluntary contributions of £15 per household go towards projects in the village not covered by the metropolitan council where we pay our council tax.
The money is spent on hanging baskets and flower troughs, wild flower planting, a huge firework display and bonfire in November and a really big display of Christmas decorations in December. The money also develops and upgrades community spaces such as the village green, the water fountain and the duck pond at Pudding Tree Corner.
I think it's worth every penny!
