Old Beaupre Castle, Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan.

This is a nice walk for us as it is just a short distance from home. Just enough for a walk on a wet and windy day like today!  Built in 1300 by the Bassett family. The photograph is of the three storeyd Renaissance Porch which was designed by a Richard Twrch and was completed in 1660. It has settled over the years and now a distinct lean to it. The fireplace in the living room is enormous and I dread to think how many trees it got through each winter!
