Season Opener

First fishing trip this season and to a new lake as well.
Very quiet location except for the fish.
Frantic activity from loads of small Roach or Rudd and what at first I thought were little Bream, but they turned out to be young crucian carp.
No doubt about this fella though.
Hit the luncheon meat like a nuclear sub and made a few dashes for deep water before I convinced him that a brief interlude on the bank was in order.
I don't have a set of scales but he went between 22 and 24 inches long.
Tally for the day, two common carp, three crucians and about half a dozen little roach before I got tired of fiddler bashing and put the float rod away.
I think a touch of the Schwarzeneggers is called for.
