All day it has been a bit leaden but at least the wind has died down and there is just the faintest chink of light here and there.  The little sailing boats were almost becalmed today and the speed boats with the doughnuts were full of happy screaming people.  Off to a talk about an Augustinian 14th century Gatehouse tonight (as one does!)  Should be interesting!
