Eryngium

Or more commonly called Sea Holly.
This sits underneath our smoke bush.......in partial shade, it's a prickly little beggar too!

We've had cloud all day today again, the sun briefly showed for about ten minutes just after lunch, allowing hub to quickly mow the back lawn, but other than that, nowt!!!! It's raining now :-(

Done lots of household chores today..... moved our bed, cleaned behind and under it, and above it (ceiling fan!) then striped it, turned mattress, laundered all the bedding, had to wait for the mattress cover to dry in tumble dryer, then put it back on, with fresh bedding. Vacced everywhere once the bed was back in situ.....looking quite nice, hopeful will result in a good nights sleep tonight!

We've had a man round to measure up for 4 new double glazing units which have blown and are now constantly misted up! We've had 3 replaced already......as soon as the 10 year builders guarantee expired, they started to go. We must have got a job lot, our neighbours only had 1 go!!!

Did the usual watering, despite the rain, the baskets don't get enough!

We've had crispy seabass, sautéed potatoes and petit pois for dinner, yum.....thanks to Larchlea for reminding me I had some fresh fillets that I'd frozen ;-)

Daughter and partner went out for dinner...... before calling round to their house. First bedroom floor been laid now......it's getting there! Week or so to go we think.

It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow.......hope so, I'm meeting sis for lunch!
