Water, water ...

On yet another wet afternoon two small boys are fascinated by an old pump in a friend's garden. After learning how to prime the pump, they managed to produce a trickling stream of water - a strangely satisfying moment despite the ubiquity of water in this sodden summer.

I think I'm fortunate to have a pal who enjoys my grandchildren as much as I do!
