I had to go to the store this afternoon to buy all the stuff that we forgot to get when we went grocery shopping last night - I don't know what happens, we write lists, I think we must go into a trance or something when we're in the store.  Before I did that I took a 15 minute walk detour to go check on this mural, nothing's been done to it since I was there last week. Is it finished?  Dunno.  Rip City is one of many nicknames for Portland.  The mural is a couple of blocks from the arena where the Trail Blazers play, where this Rip City nickname originated.
