If I could speak Duck....

....I'd ask this pretty brown duck just what happened to cause a notch out of your beak. Was it when you were attacked? I am so happy you are still here hangin' with Stanley at the park!! You can see in this photo a little mark on her head where it looks like something tried to grab her. On the other side of her head there is a bigger gash. You can see it in this photo when she's shaking off water. Poor thing. But, she's still swimming and still beautiful!! I had a nice visit with Stanley today. He seemed more himself. Gave him some corn and watched him clean those pearly white feathers. Such a handsome guy, that Stanley!!!

Work was ok. I was in a super happy mood earlier! Woke up to a super sunny morning. Just gorgeous out! Got up and went out to see if my garden visitor was still there, and he was!! Snapped some photos of him in better light. He got sick of me pretty quick and flew off. I followed him and took some more photos! :) Poor dragonfly. I just wouldn't leave him alone. He finally took off for good. It was nice of him to stick around for a while. Got some more pretty shots of my Nigella or "Love in the Mist" (I now know what it is thanks to the knowledge of you blippers). Had some coffee. Went to work. That's where it all went down hill. Ugh. One thing got to me and I never recovered. I finally went for a drive and that is when I visited Stanley. It seemed to calm me just being with all the bird folk at the lake. Rest of the day was somewhat better. Enough of that.

I did two things that I've been needing to do. Made an appointment for a massage(Glenn had given me 2 gift certificates for 60min each a while ago) AND, made an appointment to get my hair done! Just knowing I'm doing both of those next week lifts me up! :)

Tomorrow will be a better day!
