The old Bath House

This morning we visited Rotorua Museum, which is housed in the Bath House building - this building opened in 1908, and was designed along the lines of European spas and represents the New Zealand Government's first major investment in the tourism industry. The baths closed in 1966. In 1985 the building was given the highest protection available under The Historic Places Trust.

We couldn't leave Rotorua without going to investigate the thermal pools. So this afternoon we went to the Wai-O-Tapu (meaning Sacred Waters) Thermal Wonderland. I took lots of photos, and have put them here if you would like to see them.
