Blue Moon
A very wet morning, so we headed into Stornoway for some shopping and lunch. It dried up just as we were leaving and by the time it came to evening, it had come out gorgeous. At which point, I realised I'd messed up and should have made tea (Calabrian lasagne) and headed out to Calanais, asking that someone pop the lasagne in the oven so it was ready for when I got back.
In the end, I went for a walk to the Bonnie Prince Charlie cairn (aka "the onion") and took photos in the beautiful sunlight. There was a scary moment when some German tourists who'd stopped to take photos, momentarily forgot which side of the road they should drive on.
Hard to choose what to blip, but in the end, it had to be my favourite croft - albeit from a safe distance. Just in case the zombies were hungry...
Just before bed, we spotted the blue moon, reflecting photogenically across the loch. I admired it whilst cursing the fact that I'd brought the wrong lens with me, so couldn't photograph it properly.
