stoney faced

“You should enter this in the thursday throw-back challenge”.  I look puzzled.  “You know - the stones - they’re a throwback…”.   Anniemay has this way of laughing uncontrollably at her own jokes.  If I have a stoney face (oops - didn't see that coming) then her laughter just goes on and on.  And on.

I have a stoney face because I don’t think it’s that funny.  Sir Mick et al, are making a fortune for their pension pots with their live gigs, which is a very modern thing to do, so I just don’t get the throwback bit.  I assume she means The Rolling Stones - unless she’s trying a real ‘off the wall’ idea about stones as things you might throw back at someone ….. But no, she means The Stones.  

Now we both have stoney faces.
