Fields of Barley

Today we walked further than we've ever done: from Richmond to Ingleby Arncliffe, 23 miles around Catterick , then across the flat Vale of Mowbray. The final hurdle was crossing the A19 which is appalling. We did it in 9 hours, which was a good pace and we are suffering for it tonight. Most of the route was lanes, farm tracks or field edges such as this one of barley.
