Travel Blur

Eight hours of driving today; from Scottish Borders to Hampshire.  Thank goodness for Radio 4 to keep me sane during the journey.  It started very wet, especially going over the 'Beef Tub' just north of Moffat, where I was lost in the mist and murk of the clouds.  By the end of the journey it was warm and sunny; the temperature gauge on my car indicating a high of 25 degrees centigrade as I passed through Oxfordshire.  At home my tomatoes are wilting and my lawn is parched - seems a world away from the lush greeness I saw up north.
