Fake, Fake, Fake!

This is a fake Galena Geode the Gullibles picked up in Morocco a couple of years ago.

I remember at the time thinking it looked too perfect to be real, but it looked nice and road side sellers were running up to the car with them every time we pulled up.

Anyway, I don't know if they make the geode itself, but what they do is crack them open, stick in the upright posts then spray with real galena crystals, then sell them to unsuspecting tourists.
