Quite a view

I've been back to the beautiful Langdale area of the Lake District today to finally finish the measurement of the Langdale Marathon and half marathon.

If you know the area you may bd familiar with a long 25% uphill road locally termed Blea tarn hill.

For those unfamiliar, it's long, it's steep, I had to walk up it.

For all of you, they tackle it once for the half marathon and TWICE for the marathon!

I've tackled it twice myself today.

That's because I promised the organiser I would not leave Langdale until it was right.

It's a very very tough marathon but the views are spectacular, as shown in this view that I ended up seeing 3 times today.

If you want a challenging marathon, this one is on September 20th.

Initially I promised myself I'd never run it, but cast your mind back to my blips around 9th and 10th July when I also said I'd never jump out oc an aeroplane.....
