Triangle and Cymbals
A short post-physiotherapy session walk around Lewes gave me a chance to photograph a couple of the windows in St Thomas Becket Church in Cliffe. Although my collection is mostly of work by Charles Kempe and James Powell & Sons, the east window here has glass by another of the major Victorian works Heaton, Butler and Bayne including the 1885 east window, the four top lights depicting angels with musical instruments. The west window is by James Powell & Sons and commemorates Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee and has a rather fine St George with the Royal Standard.
Some good news awaiting me at home: apparently one of my landscapes is to be used in 'Wildlife in Trust - a history of the Wildlife Trusts' and another (the rose chafer beetle) is to be used on the website.
