Half Moon

I set an alarm for a bit before midnight to get set for a "red Moon" photograph.
The weather forecaster predicted the smoky air would cause a red coloration of the moon.
I must admit that waiting for the Moon to rise above the treeline was very pleasant indeed.
I was a bit disappointed by the lack of red color as the Moon rose into full view.
As always, however, I was totally smitten with its beauty. 
I climbed back into my warm bed well pleased with my midnight treat.
