Welsh Olympic Secret weapon ...

... Caught in training in Newport.

With the Olympics around the corner, I managed to catch a secret training session of the Welsh entry for the 4 x 100m Relay.

As can be seen the training is concentrating on baton handling skills, and I did witness one slight mishap wher the baton was dropped, (not first for a British athlete), but this was expertly re-caught in mid flight.

With Usain Bolt being clocked at around 24 MPH whilst setting the current World 100M Record, the gull's, (a Lesser Black-backed Gull for the record), top speed of nearer 38 MPH should be an advantage.

There was some pressure to utilise a Welsh Peregrine for the team, but although it did have an obvious speed advantage it's batton handling skills left a little to be desired :D
