Spring......

.....is creeping in, although the mornings have been cold with a light visit from Jack Frost the days have been mostly calm and warm in the sun, rather pleasant and spring-like.

We've had our ups and downs this last week and each day has been different. I've taken shots with my camera and phone depending on what I had with me at the time but the computer hasn't been turned on until now - I'll catch up on the missing days as time allows.
 
Well, where to start - R is now in hospital in Christchurch in the dementia unit and sadly won't ever be returning home. We've made many visits over the last week, mum has filled and signed much paperwork, family talks have taken place and we've seen signs of change with R as the doctors try to sort his meds out. He may be there for a while, he may make it back to full-time care it really is a day-by-day process. Mum is mostly in good spirits but like me finds the continued visits to the other side of Christchurch long and tiring but we wouldn't have it any other way, R is in the best hands we could possibly wish for.
 
The house has been full again with Daughter E, Daughter A and boyfriend M here, its been wonderful to have the young ones here, share a few laughs and have one or two outings. Mum enjoyed coming out for dinner one night with us, something she hasn't been able to do for quite some time.
 
We did our groceries today and had a small wander round the gardens in Kaiapoi where spring blossom is looking ever so beautiful. Mum is not feeling like blipping as yet but I'll let you know when she's back.
 
It was lovely to open my computer today and see some lovely emails sending thoughts and wishes to mum and I, we're both very touched and thank you :)
